Mouw
scored for oud, alp horn, bariton and dancer
duration 35 minutes
Socks and stockings dance with abandon. Sweaters turn into curious little creatures. Gentle monsters peek through holes, sleeves, and trouser legs. Moved by the music, an unusual singer dances a heartfelt duet with the girl with the long arms. In the wondrous world of MOUW, everything that is different can be truly special.
MOUW is an original dance-theatre performance filled with peculiar beings that celebrate the beauty of being different. Unconventional musical instruments, such as the oud and the alphorn, give the production its distinctive and enchanting sound.
Stage direction and choreography: Karolien Verlinden
